Course Structure and Schedule:
The course is conducted online over two consecutive weekends each month, focusing on six core competencies:
First Weekend: We delve into problem-solving strategies, crafting wellness recovery action plans, and exploring the stages of the recovery process.
Second Weekend: The sessions enhance your effective listening skills, educate on guiding individuals in setting recovery goals, and shed light on the significance of support groups in recovery.
Learning and Certification: Daily activities promote hands-on learning. After the final exam, successful participants earn an automatic certification as peer support specialists in Kentucky. Join now and transform your career.
Peer Support Course Requirements:
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You should be in recovery from a substance use and/or mental health disorder.
- A high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
- Stable internet connection and a video and audio conferencing device for online classes.
