From Personal Recovery Journey to Helping Others

Hello, I am Casey Collier, the proud founder of Train Kentucky, LLC. My transformative journey from personal struggle with substance use and mental health issues to recovery began in December 2015. This experience ignited my passion to aid others on similar paths.

Becoming a Peer Support Specialist

In 2017, inspired by the peer support professionals who showed me that recovery was possible, I decided to become a peer support specialist. Their hope and encouragement were instrumental in my own recovery journey, shaping my passion for this transformative role.

Education and Professional Development

Today, I have a bachelor’s degree and am on track to earn my master’s degree in human services in counseling this December. I’ve had the privilege of working as a counselor, helping individuals in recovery with career planning, and as an instructor for peer support certification courses. Through these roles, I discovered my passion for education and training.

Creating High-Quality Training Programs

My journey has inspired the creation of Train Kentucky’s superior training programs, designed to transform the behavioral health field in Kentucky. We aim to equip helping professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to make a real difference in the lives of their clients, their families, and their communities.
